Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. The actress was born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens she portrayed the lead role in several television dramas. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall her character as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also highly praised. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra's career has seen her participate in several significant national and international productions. These include British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historic miniseries Napoleon and many more. Additionally, she was a member of both jury for the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
